Hot Chicken Sandwich

Thick slices of roasted chicken, piled high atop our Garlic Texas Toast, and drizzled with rich gravy. It is a drool-worthy dinner that delivers a comforting taste of home.

Tip:

Use any leftover chicken or store-bought rotisserie chicken.

Directions

Pre-heat oven to 425°F.

Line a backing sheet with parchment paper. Arrange slices of Furlani Garlic Texas Toast on baking sheet. Bake 8 to10 min. or until lightly browned.

Dissolve cornstarch in the water. Set aside.

In small saucepan, melt the butter.  Add garlic, cook 1 min.  Add flour and cook for 3 to 4 min. stirring until the mixture turns golden brown.

Add broths and stir until mixture comes to a bubble.  Stir in Worcestershire sauce and thyme. Stir in cornstarch and simmer 3 to 4 min. or until sauce begins to thicken.  Season with pepper.

Remove toast slices from oven. Cover slices with chicken and drizzle with some of the gravy and serve with peas.
