Valentine’s Day … what better way to any heart than through a grilled-cheese sandwich?
Valentine’s Day, oh la la! Our Valentine’s Texas Toast Grilled Cheese Sandwich is a French toast-style sandwich. Mais oui! It’s got all the essentials: cheese, meat, mustard, and mayo. And then – the pièce de résistance – it’s battered and cooked up like French toast!
And we’ll even make it easy for you – pick your favourite combination of Furlani Texas Toast, cheese and meat and just follow the directions below to prepare this fantastic Valentine’s Day sandwich.
Heat up Furlani Garlic Texas Toast: Pre-heat the oven to 425°F. Place frozen slices on aluminum foil or flat baking tray on middle oven rack. Bake for 5-6 minutes or until heated through. To brown both sides, turn slices over after 3 minutes. Remove from oven when ready and allow to cool. Beat eggs with milk in shallow dish. Add salt and pepper to taste
Grab two slices of Furlani toast: Spread slices with mustard and mayo. Layer on the cheese and meat. Close the sandwich. Repeat with the two other slices. Coat sandwiches in the egg mixture. Heat skillet over medium heat, melt butter. Place the sandwiches into the skillet and brown on each side until light golden brown and cheese has melted. Place on plates, serve and eat your heart out!
